The only logical explanation for Bill O’Reilly insanity directed at Barney Frank is that Frank was the guy who wrote the copy for Inside Edition back in the day. They apparently hadn’t seen each other in a few years and it wasn’t pretty.

I have never watched Bill O’Reilly, so I can’t comment on what the norm is for his show.
But based on this, I would never watch it, nor would I allow children to watch it.
I would also suggest that everyone invited as a “guest” decline – regardless of political persuasion. To recognize and condemn what he did as abusive, intolerant and morally wrong, everyone must refuse to participate, lest they become an enabler and tacit supporter.
This is what is killing America. To me, at least, O’Reilly is a domestic enemy. He shuts down discussion, propagandizes, distorts and does not contribute to civil discourse.
And he does it with hate. He foments hate.
That is unpatriotic, cowardly and terroristic.
